Question

lumbar puncture

Asked 1 April 2013 · 1 answer

The question

I was wondering if a bad lumbar puncture that has caused scar tissue/nerve damage resulting in radiculopathy would be grounds for a case. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I don't know a ton about the law, but I think if a physician made a mistake that directly caused your radiculopathy and resulting damage, it would appear you could sue for malpractice. Since I don't practice law, the best way I could answer your question would be to advise you to speak with a medical malpractice attorney in your area. By providing him or her with complete details of the injury and residual damage, I think they would be able to tell you if grounds exist for a lawsuit. Of course, medical malpractice laws and statutes of limitation vary by state, all the more reason for you to contact an attorney as soon as possible.

I was doing some research online and came across this. If I read the link correctly, if your doctor displayed any of the behavior or engaged in the type of conduct discussed in this article, you may very well have grounds for a suit: (removed)
